School Holiday Programme 14-25 January
The regular programme of two weeks outdoors fun for younger kids will be sent out through schools again, as well advertised on our website, before end of term. Book before Christmas to be in.
Christmas Family Picnic: Twin Pines, 5pm 22 Dec
All children and their families are invited to the inaugural ‘Christmas picnic’ at Twin Pines playground, on 22 December starting at 5pm. Shared meal, BBQ, games and Carols around our Christmas Tree.
Forming right attitudes
A speaker form The Parenting Place will meet with older students at the Aotea Education Trust Learning Hub during the last term of this year to give a talk that gives …
“practical advice on how to get through the hard chapters of life and delivers the ‘life messages’ teenagers need to grow mental and emotional resilience. It covers the importance of making positive decisions, and how to build the four cornerstones of a meaningful life.”

If you want to sit down with a professional and in confidence talk through issues you are having to deal with, Cait Devey is an accredited counsellor. Counselling for children and their families is subsidised thanks to the Ministry for Children, Oranga Tamariki, and the Ministry of Health.

AFSG Fundraiser: Christmas trees for sale
Johnno Stapleton volunteered to cut and deliver Christmas trees again, for only $25, on Saturday the 8th of December, but no further than Awana. To order a tree, email Sue with drop off instructions on email@example.com, or call 465. We will contact you with an account number to deposit your money or pay cash in the office, or on delivery. Next Seniors Activity
The next senior activity will be held next year on Feb 22nd with a day spent at Christina’s in her beautiful gardens with a walk on the beach and if the tides are right a swim in the Mermaid Pools. Wishing you all a very Happy and safe Xmas and New Year. Next year’s activity calendar is looking really good with new places to see and some old but popular visits. Thank you to John and Peggy Garlick again for the time that they volunteered to this programme during the year.
