Back to work

We are out of lockdown and now living in a world with Coronavirus, reminding us how important always maintaining good hygiene and looking after your own health is.

Keeping that in mind, for the Support Group it’s back to work:

· Caregiving for older and other people in need of support continued without interruption, no little thanks to our hardworking caregivers.

· The Over 60s will restart with a mid-winter Xmas Lunch at Tryphena.

· The monthly Senior’s Outing will head up to Harataonga.

· The After School Program is starting back on the 4th of June.

· And Mainly Music will back up and running on the 8th, from 9.30am at the Conference Centre in Claris. All under 5 year olds welcome.

· Counselling services can be face-to-face again.

Lets not forget … Keep calm, stay safe and be kind!

Senior Services

In the midst of lockdown, the work of our caregivers never slowed down. We recorded nearly 700 hours of caregiving provided by 22 workers, or about 450 visits, during April alone. And that is not counting the extra errands and phone calls that were needed to ensure everyone was taken care of. Big thanks to all our workers!

Please note that Sue Eves is on leave for a month and Lisa Eves will be covering for her.

Youth services

With schools back again, the After School Program and Mainly Kids for the pre-schoolers will also be back to normal. But if any adult is able to help out, that would be greatly appreciated.

Look forward to seeing all the kids again. Keri
